The instrument can be connected to a display meter or various DCS systems through 4 ~ 20mA or RS485 (Modbus protocol or other customized protocols), providing real-time level data for industrial automation.

Installation method: Generally, the bracket installation method is adopted in the open environment, and the instrument is provided with a flange for fixing. Cut a round hole with a probe diameter of 60mm in the installation position of the tank or tank, put the meter in, and screw the flange from bottom to top. The installation must ensure that the probe surface of the instrument is level with the liquid surface to be measured.

As shown in the figure above, the instrument's probe wave hits the liquid level and then reflects back to the probe. After the probe receives the wave, it calculates the time from wave to wave reception to obtain the measurement distance L. The instrument installation height TH minus the measurement distance L will get the current Bit H.


Meter range refers to the distance that the meter can measure, and the installation height TH should be less than the range.


Instrument blind zone refers to the area where the instrument cannot measure near the probe. The highest liquid level and probe distance should be greater than the blind zone. For example, if the blind zone is 0.3m, the distance between the liquid level and the probe must be greater than 0.3m.


Probe wave is a diffusion process, that is, there is a directional angle, pay attention to when installing, otherwise it may hit the protrusions of the pool wall or the edge of the channel.


 


2.4 Instrument installation principles


1) The distance from the emission surface of the probe to the minimum liquid level should be less than the range of the optional instrument.


2) The distance from the probe emission surface to the highest liquid level should be greater than the blind zone of the optional instrument.


3) The emission surface of the probe should be parallel to the liquid surface.


4) The installation position of the probe should be avoided as far as possible from the position where the liquid level fluctuates sharply, such as the inlet and outlet directly below.


5) If the wall of the tank or tank is not smooth, the installation location of the instrument must be more than 0.3m away from the wall of the tank or tank.


6) If the distance from the probe's emitting surface to the highest liquid level is less than the blind zone of the optional instrument, an extension pipe must be installed to extend the pipe diameter.


   More than 120mm, length 0.35m ~ 0.50m, vertical installation, smooth inner wall, the opening on the tank should be larger than the extension tube


   path. Or pass the tube to the bottom of the tank, the diameter of the tube is greater than 80mm, and the remaining hole in the bottom of the tube keeps the liquid level in the extension tube equal to the height of the tank.


 


2.5 Installation precautions


1) It is recommended to install a sun visor to extend the service life of the meter.


2) Wire and cable protection pipes must be sealed to prevent water accumulation.


3) Although the instrument has its own lightning protection device, when the instrument is used in a lightning-resistant area, it is recommended to add another


   Install special lightning protection devices.


4) The instrument is used in particularly hot and cold places, that is, when the ambient temperature may exceed the working requirements of the instrument, it is recommended to add high and low temperature protection devices around the level gauge.




 


3. Instrument debugging


3.1 Keyboard description

3.2 Parameter setting


3.2.1 Level Calibration (LEVEL)


After the instrument is installed and powered on, the liquid level value will be displayed on the LCD, and the data often does not match the actual liquid level, so a liquid level calibration is required.


The level calibration steps are as follows: Press SET to enter the parameter setting menu. LEVEL


For the liquid level calibration menu, press OK to perform the liquid level calibration, use ▼ (shift) and ▲ (number change) to change the number to the actual level value (such as 2.100), press OK to confirm, and then press SET to set In the menu, the first line of the LCD displays “————” and the second line displays “2.100”, indicating that the meter is performing liquid level calibration (the meter cannot be moved and the power cannot be turned off at this time). When “2.100” is displayed on the first line of the LCD, it indicates that the meter liquid level calibration is complete.


 


3.2.2 20mA Setting


   When the meter is working normally, press the SET parameter setting menu, press the ▲ key to select the 4-20 mA number to be the 20 mA corresponding liquid level, and press the OK key to set it.


 


3.2.3 Probe height (TH)


It can display the height of the probe, you can check whether the height of the probe conforms to the situation on site, and can also be used for level calibration. Change the probe height directly according to the site conditions.


 


 3.2.4 Relay parameter setting


  You can select four symbols: "&", "|", "N", and "∧". When changing, click OK to make the symbol to be flashed. Press ▲ or ▼ to select the desired symbol. The numbers are changed as before.


Meaning of symbols:


<: Less than sign


>: Greater than sign


&: And, means that both conditions need to be met;


|: Or, it means that one of the two conditions is met;


N: Only the previous condition, the latter is not displayed;


∧: The former condition is the relay pull-in condition (usually used to open the pump), and the latter condition is the relay


Open condition (usually used to stop the pump), mainly used for drainage well and inlet well control.


This menu changes the display mode. There are 3 display modes to choose from:


3.2.5 Display Mode Setting (DispMode)

2. AIRH: display distance


3. AIRHT: Display distance and temperature


Press the ▲ key to select the desired mode and press the OK key to confirm.
